Overview
Benchmarking: the process of identifying, learning, and adapting outstanding practices and processes from any organization, anywhere in the world, to help an organization improve its performance. Benchmarking gathers the tacit knowledge-the know-how, judgments, and enablers-that accelerate improvements. In order to improve a situation , you need to know where you are , where you start or in another way , what is the baseline.
The Process Mapping module of the course will teach you how to identify and map these process activities so that you can have a true picture of how a process works. Once a process is mapped, you can then find where the process breaks down, where there are bottlenecks, and where there are opportunities for improvement.
